One of the best comics stories is the Secret Origins issue with Zatanna and Zatara (and Dr. Mist, too!). Great cover, as always.

Re Illyana/Kitty: Do you remember "Kitty's Fairy Story"? It was wonderful...
A more natural pairing if ever I saw one...at least for magically-inclined heroes. Love the premise where it appears that Zatanna's father's soul is in Limbo. Cool concept. Really digging the choice of background for the cover too. Really helps set the ominous tone for their adventure.

Zatara being held prisoner in Belasco's part of Limbo is a natural way to bring these two together. Bravo!
Ah! "Kitty's Fairy Tale"! What an opportunity it would be to see Bamf and Bat-Mite teamed up here! (Probably for an April 1st issue.)
And Ross, I agree that this is a very natural yet unexpected pairing. I think the story you hint at would be a fun one, too!
Your hopes have become true as it's been confirmed that Magik will appear in the currently in development New Mutants film along with Mirage, Cannonball, Wolfsbane, Sunspot and Warlock, all of which were part of the classic line-up of the team, which also included Karma, Cypher and Magma.
